Ebay founder creates an online magazine to approach Snowden’s reports

Jara Bravo- Pierre Omydiar,  Ebay‘s founder, has launched  The Intercept, in First Look Media, a digital communication company based on the treatment of the National Security Agency’s (NSA) classified reports, which were published by Edward Snowden. The magazine, which will officially appear next week, is directed by Glenn Greenwald, The Guardian‘s former journalist, together with Laura Poitras and Jeremy Schahill.

The objective of this new journal, according to Omydiar, is to “experiment, innovate and overcome the obstacles existing so it is easier for journalists to hand in the revolutionary histories that we all need”.

A key element of this new communication company is that, in addition to the covering of general content -sports, politics, economy, technology, etc.- and Snowden’s reports, the public’s participation will be a fundamental aspect in all of their steps, as they believe that working with their readers will provide great benefit.
